After four previous collaborative albums Rainy Sessions (Warm Gospel Tapes), Braunschweig Sessions (post global recordings), 1802_18 (Pilot Eleven Netlabel) and Late Night Session (AMPEFF Records), Backyard Sessions is the latest installment of an ongoing collaboration process by Toni Dimitrov and Dominic Razlaff. These two prolific soundscape designers are famous for their long form drone explorations merged with the subtle field recordings infused ambience, and this time once again they go in this direction. Recorded on various destinations around Macedonian nature, “Backyard Sessions” is a reflection of a natural, subtle and vibrant journey. With its ranges and spectrum from more gentle soundscapes to rawer sound experiments, this work is a direct presentation of the works of both artists, now connected in joint work that is already shaping in their own recognizable sound.

Toni Dimitrov is sound artist and field recordist based in Macedonia, working under vaious monikers, collaboratins and with various projects like Post Global Trio, Private Mountain, Sound_00/Lefterna... His sound is natural soundscape from Macedonian mountains. He runs post global and élan vital recordings. Dominic Razlaff (aka DR), is a sound artist from Germany that uses synthesizers, acoustic instruments (Ukulele & Cavaquinho) field recordings, tape loops & granular synthesis to create melancholy ambient / drone soundscapes.
